FM110 I "Heart" Twine!

Welcome back to another fun challenge here at The Friday Mashup! It's Holly here and I'll be your host this week. I don't know about you but one of my favorite accessories to come along for Card making in the last few years has been Baker's Twine.. It comes in so many great colors and it just adds that extra pizzaz to any project!

So the challenge this week is to create a project using some Baker's Twine and for your MASHUP... Let's make that project Monochromatic! As always you can do the MASHUP or create a project with just the twine or just Monochromatic.. Whatever tickles your Fancy you could say.. We can't wait to see what you create!

Amy's Pick for FM109

Oh my, you guys rocked the challenge this week! There were so many fabulous entries using the sketch, the tutorial and mashing it up - I found it very difficult to pick out my Rock Star from all my faves but the entry who won me over was...

Amy's Rock Star!

Ruza Rebel @ Ruza's Craft Corner

I just loved this fab set of masculine cards! The background panels look great with different monochromatic patterns and the line images are perfect for guys. The pop of red is a great touch and my favourite bit of this project is the way it was packaged (check out her blog for more details). Congrats Ruza!

Glamettes

Heidi's pick:
Sandy M at Stamp with Sandy.
Sandy's design is so clean and pleasing to the eye.  I just love it!

Lisa's Pick:
I just love the colors and papers she used for the sketch. The twine and small bling are the perfect touches to bring it all together. Congrats Karen!

Amanda'a Pick:
I love the combination of colors and very different patterns that Haley used to make this bright and cheerful card set. The layered greeting labels are such a nice touch! Congrats Haley!

Tara's Pick:
 Charissa @ Snippets by Design
I love Charissa's fun set. The little additions on each card make them unique within the set. Congratulations!

Liliana's Pick:
Brenda @  OttawaMom
Brenda's set of cards is fabulous! I love not only the selection of colors but also the combination of papers and textures, which make it so creative and original. Congratulations Brenda!

Holly's Pick:
Rollimaus ~ Rollimaus Kartenwel
What a great color combo and I love the polka dotted butterflies she added to the cards.. Great set!

Erica's Pick:
I love the paper she put together and the use of vellum adds such a soft feel.

FM109 It's a Matching Set!

Hi everyone and welcome to another fun Friday Mashup challenge! It's Amy here and I'm challenging you to make a set of cards using a sketch. I saw a video a little while ago about how to use four sheets of dsp with a few cuts to create a matching set of four card so I've translated this idea into a tutorial for you. This is a really great way to make a quick set of cards perfect for a gift for someone, or to add to your stash!

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project using "the sketch".
  2. Create a "set of cards".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "set of cards using the sketch".
I do hope you'll join us this week - I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Check out the creations of our design team - they are sure to inspire you!

Liliana's Pick for FM108!

Liliana's Rock Star Pick:

Libby @ Libbystamps
What I love about Libby's project is the versatility of the graduation slider gift holder. It can be adapted with the school colors without altering the great look of the project. Great job Libby!

Glamettes:

The Lucky Limeade used in Jenny's card caught my eye right away and I especially love how she paired the globe stamp from The Open Sea with the sentiment from 'Word Play'. This is a visually stunning card all around, congrats Jenny!

Amanda's Pick:
Cindy @ Cindy Lee Bee Designs
SU Blue Ribbon Grad
Cindy's card is just full of bright and cheerful colors and all those lovely layers! Not to mention a fabulous fun fold card! Great job Cindy!

Heidi's Pick:
Her card, combining a mortar board, light bulb, and starburst background, is just brilliant!  Ha, ha, pun intended... I really enjoyed it!

Amy's pick:
Beate @ Stempelomi
Beate's beautiful aqua-toned card has so many lovely elements. I particularly love the embossed flower with the designer brad in the middle - so very pretty! Congrats Beate!

Thanks for all the great Graduation Projects!! We will see you all back here tomorrow with a new challenge... Amy's our Host and she's got a Fun Sketch for us!
