Thank you so much for everyone who joined us this week! I LOVE seeing all of your favorite techniques :) It was so tough to pick, as usual, but now I have tons of great birthday card ideas! Thanks~ Amy

I decided to go with Sandy's card. It's super clean and pretty. I love emboss/resist and watercoloring so I was really drawn to her card. Nice job Sandy!

Heidi's Picks!!!

Thank you for all the wonderful entries this week. I just love looking at the gallery full of similar colors... so beautiful!

All of Julie's fussy cutting details really make the card!  I love her flowers climbing up the brick wall.  Beautiful job!

Maaike @ Cards by Maaike

Watercoloring is such a fun and easy way to incorporate the challenge colors.  I just love what Maaike did here.  Clean and elegant!

Thank you again to everyone who joined us.. we will see you all back here shortly with a fun new challenge. ~ Heidi

FM221 Fields of Flowers

Hi Everyone! It's Heidi, and it's my turn to host the Friday Mashup challenge this week. Right about this time, our family heads up to Canada for a couple weeks at the family cabin, and we always see such pretty wildflowers growing around the cabin before we mow the long grass. I had goldenrod in mind for this challenge for myself, although you can use any summer flower you choose.  Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Here's your Mashup Challenge :
  • Create a project using shades of Dijon, Olive, Razzleberry
  • Create a project inspired by Summer Flowers
  • or Mash it Up! and create a "Summer Flowers Project using the colors above.

FM220 We're going to the Fair!

Lisa here with your Friday Mashup challenge! In Alaska the end of August signals state fair time. It is held in the area I live in and people come from all over the state to attend. Our school district even gives the kids a Friday off, calling it "State Fair Day". I know my kids look forward to it every year and that's what made me think of this challenge......get inspired by your state fair!

Maybe it's the food (which is what 2 of my kids said when I asked them what came to mind!), maybe its the farm animals or perhaps it's all the rides. Whatever it is, bring the inspiration to life on your project! Let's also throw in some punches....no no, not those type of punches ;)...let's see some crafty punches used on your projects. Get creative and have fun!

And it's a new Month here at the Mashup so we are welcoming a new Guest Designer for August. Please say Hello to Nicole. Nicole owns a super cute online shop where you can grab a ton of Stamping goodies 24/7.. Be sure to stop by her Blog and say Hi and take a peek around the Shop

"Hi there! I'm Nicole, owner of Right at Home Shop and avid card maker. I'm so excited to be joining The Friday Mash-Up for the month of August...thanks Holly! A few random facts about myself are that I love color, chips & salsa, Gilmore Girls, and Mexican food. Also, I just recently designed and launch my very first stamp set! You may be seeing it featured on some of my projects here...hope you like what I create!"

Here's your Mashup Challenge this week:
  • Create a project "inspired by the State Fair".
  • Create a project using "Punches".
  • or Mash it Up and create a project "inspired by the Fair using your punches".
The Challenge will close on Wednesday Aug. 12th @ 6pm EST. Be sure to read the guidelines above under "about the FM" if you are new to our Challenge and Welcome. We can't wait to see what you create with this fun Mash' Up! Check out what the Design Team created below!
