FM190.. Let's keep it simple!

Welcome back to the Friday Mashup.. It's Holly here as your Hostess this week and this week I'm challenging you to create a two layer card. You can have your card base and 1 additional layer. For an added challenge add a grungy element to your card base behind the second layer. Boy, that was easier to say in my head.. Ha Ha!

We'd like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday.. We will be taking a few weeks off and enjoying time with our families. The challenge will end on Dec. 31st @ 6pm EST.

*Thank you to everyone who applied for our Design Team call.. I'm still going through all the blogs and emails will be going out this weekend. ~ Holly

This week's Mashup Challenge is:
  • Create a project using the "Sketch".
  • Create a "2 Layer card with a grungy element in the background".
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project "using the sketch that's 2 layers only".

Cindy's picks for FM189

You all amaze me week after week with your creative and diverse takes on the Friday Mashup challenges. Thank you for playing along with my gray and silver challenge with embossing. It is always a challenge to choose one pick each week but I get to pick the Rock Star and 3 Glamettes this round- lucky me! But, in all honesty, it was still difficult because you all submitted such wonderful cards! Keep up the fantastic work, friends.

Maria did an awesome job mashing it up with beautiful shades of silver and gray on a background of silver foil embossing. Her bow is just gorgeous! Congrats Maria on being my Rock Star this week!

Mary Ann at Stamping Mak

Mary Ann's silver on gray butterfly is just beautiful! How exciting to see how this stamp set can be used- such an inspiring card, Mary Ann:)

Breelin at Craft-somnia Mama

What a lovely scene Breelin created with the white trees on a gray background with a pop of red. The silver deer is just awesome- like he is supposed to be silver!

Jane mashed it up with a creative and unique CAS card. Embossing the die cut with the Stripes EF was a great touch with the yellow background behind it.

We'll see you all back here tomorrow for a fun new challenge!

Lynda's Pick for FM188!

Silver & Gold, silver and gold,.....how do you measure it's worth? Ok, enough singing. It's time for me to pick a Rock Star. It was so hard this week. Everyone of the cards was worth a lot. They were so beautiful and creative. In the end I did have to pick one. It came to the ornaments my friends. I simple love them. Thanks for playing with us this week and we hope to see you back next week. ~ Lynda

I chose Maura's card simple because I'm a sucker for ornaments. I loved this card. It really jumped out and caught my eye. It's crisp, clean and gorgeous. Great Job Maura.

The colors on Julie's card are elegant! She did a great job at creating the background for her snowflakes. But most of all I love her bow, it is beautiful and perfect! Great job at mashing up the challenge!

The background created using the Northern Lights technique is absolutely stunning! I love the silhouetted Deer and how the sentiment was created. Beautiful card!
