Let's get out our stamps, ink and paper and start creating!!!

Avery's Picks for FM155

I just wanted to thank everyone who played along with us this week at The Friday Mashup. I know I made it difficult with all the colors I added into the color combo but I was extremely thrilled with how everyone's cards turned out! You all made it very difficult to choose only one Rockstar and two Glamettes!

Cynthia's card is stunning! The details on her card is fantastic. Even the handles on her picnic basket move!! The flowers are bright and really pop and the added detail of the DSP basket liner is super cute. ~ Avery

Alli ~ Scrappy Bitz

Alli's set of cards are adorable! She did a fantastic job on the coloring and I love how well she incorporated all the colors from the challenge into her cards! I also love the subtle embossing around her card that created a frame.

Deb really showed her creativity with this card. Everything she cut out was designed by her using her Silhouette. I love the Easter basket with the overflowing eggs and the definition she added to her basket using sponging added the wow factor.

Thank you again for joining us.. We will see you all back here in just a few hours for a new Challenge!

Tara's Pick for FM154!

What a great group of cards for that fun technique challenge Tara gave us!! We loved seeing all the fun takes on Scattered Embossing. Let's see who Tara picked as her Rock Star this week!

I just love Lisa's embossing and the white on white! It doesn't get much more "spring" than that gorgeous flower, either! Congrats, Lisa! ~ Tara

Cindy's Pick:
Alli @ Scrappy Bitz

Alli created a beautiful spring card with delicate vellum. She incorporated the scattered emboss techniques in a very cool way with the butterflies on the right side and popped up ones on the left side. Congrats on a card well executed, Alli:)

Heidi's Pick:
Scrappin with Stephie

Stephie took the idea from a sample on the video and changed it up to make it her own.  I love the fun and colorful embossed dots.  Feels like a party!

Sara's Pick:
Joan @ J J's Creations

Joan did a wonderful job incorporating both parts of the challenge on her card.  I love her bright double-layered flowers and the ripped piece of vellum showing the scattered embossing technique.  What a lovely way to say "Hi" to someone!  Congrats, Joan!

Avery's Pick:
Becky @ Stamping and Scrapping

Becky's card is absolutly stunning. Her coloring on the flowers is impecable. I love how she mashed up the challenge by adding a little scattered embossing to the bottom of her card. Fastastic job Becky!

Lynda's Pick:
Laura @ Laura's Blog

I was so impressed with Laura's creativity in using the Alphabet Press Folder for her scattered embossing technique. Plus she made a very cute baby card! Way to think outside the embossing folder Laura!

A huge Thank You to everyone who joined us.. We will see you all back here tomorrow for a new Challenge!

Rachel @ Rachel's Craft Room

My Rock Star this week is Rachel.  I love how she used the colors together, and the water coloring she did on her cute picture is fabulous...all the way down (or should I say up) to the cute pink bunnies' ears.  Congrats, Rachel, on being this week's Rock Star! ~ Sara

Tara's Pick:

Diane's beautiful watercolouring is the perfect touch to her fabulous floral background. What a great idea for this stamp set! I love the layers and the crisp and clean panel for the flower and sentiment. Great card!

Lisa's Pick:
Krista @ Scotian Stamper

Krista did a wonderful job of mashing up the challenge! She used the colors beautifully and those flowers just seem to be "springing" right off the page! Lovely work Krista!

FM153 Watercolor Wonders!

Hi Everyone!  Sara here to welcome you to another Friday Mashup challenge.  With the snow finally melting and a new season beginning I thought it would be nice to play with a few colors that remind me of spring.  They come from the first flowers I have blooming in my yard after the snow, or sometimes even in the snow...yellow and purple crocuses.  I'd love to see what these colors inspire you to make while using an aqua painter or blender pen to give your creation a watercolor effect.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project using the colors "Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi & Perfect Plum".
  2. Create a project using "an Aqua Painter or a Blender Pen to create a Watercolor Effect".
  3. Or mash it up and create a project with the "Colors above & a Watercolor Effect".
